16775 records - Glock Serial Number Research Project Show/Hide. Glock also made pistols for special occasions and they would have unique serial numbers. At the beginning of Desert Storm, 15 Desert Storm Presentation Glocks with a serial number starting with UD were given to selected persons in the President Bush administration and Department of Defense.
I'm new to Sigs and was wondering if there is a list or key that gives the meaning of the components in the item numbers. I've looked around and can't seem to find anything - sorry if I missed it somewhere obvious. I ask because I'm looking at buying a gun from a friend and I'm not sure what it is exactly. The item number I'm trying to decode is E26R-357-BSS-DAK-G. So far, I've got the following (which isn't much): E = 15-round clip 26 = P226 357 = chambered in.357 SIG DAK = Double action Kellerman Any idea what the R, BSS, and G would be? Thanks for any help!
Cool, thanks guys. DarthPaul, do you by chance have the link for the online catalog you're referring to? ShoreShooter, thanks for the link.

I tried looking through that first one to find my exact model but couldn't find it (although it's entirely possible that I just missed it). The original box this gun comes in has a date of 2007 on it - could it be that my model is no longer in production? The slide also says 'Stainless' on it. Any idea if this means that the entire gun (frame and slide) is stainless? Or would that just refer to the frame being stainless (which is obvious, I know, but the stamping is on the frame after all). I'm really trying to figure out if it is stainless because some of the items I see in the links provided with a BSS designation aren't listed as being stainless. Thanks again for the help.

Thanks for any help! Don't try to read too much into the model number.
While some things will/may make sense, like R for rail, there is far too much inconsistany in model numbers because they have just too many catalogged and uncatalogged models to keep it consistant. I have guns with rails that have no R in the name. I have guns of the same unique feature but diff calibers and no similarity between model numbers.
